How to Prepare for the JMAC Crucible

Preparation is key to getting the most out of this experience. Here’s how to set yourself up for success:

Physical Preparation

  • Prioritize sleep in the days leading up to the event

  • Stay consistently hydrated
  • Eat clean, light meals that fuel your body
  • Avoid alcohol or anything that may impact performance

Gear Checklist

  • Two clean uniforms (gi)
  • Rash guards
  • Soft knee pads (volleyball-style recommended)
  • Towels
  • Water and/or electrolyte drinks
  • Light snacks for sustained energy
  • Any necessary medications

Hygiene & Mindset

  • Trim nails and secure long hair
